Diamond Cosmetics matte top coat (over NYX Boho)
So I finally got around to trying Diamond Cosmetics matte top coat. I’m not a huge fan of matte polishes for anything other than their quick drying, but I was bored and decided to give this top coat a whirl. I’m not sure what I was expecting. Maybe something with a little more zip, but I think that’s more the polish I put it over than anything else.
Anyway, I’ve heard matte top coats (like matte polishes) are prone to chipping, but I haven’t had that problem with this. I did just put it over my existing manicure though, so maybe the layer of Seche Vite under it is making it more durable that it otherwise would be. As this is the only matte top coat I’ve tried I can’t say if it’s better or worse than others, but it was cheap, effectively matte’d my polish, and so far hasn’t chipped, so that’s something.
